Wyoming's Wolves are Back

Restoring Balance to Wyoming's Wild Places

The return of gray wolves to Wyoming has been exciting news. Wolves have an important role, culling old and sick animals to keep Wyoming’s magnificent game herds healthy. Along the way, wolves have attracted an enthusiastic following, thrilling tourists and locals alike with a glimpse of a wolf in the wild or their howls in the wilderness.

Wyoming wildlife officials are developing a plan to manage wolves. Unfortunately, political interference has led to plan to dramatically reduce wolf numbers. That doesn’t reflect the wishes of Wyoming: Seven of ten residents who commented on the state’s plan think we should let wolf populations grow naturally.
